Meet Candace Worth, the woman who connected ART with our generation.
Pennsylvania University graduate, she previously worked for the Contemporary Art Department at Christie's, lectured at the Rhode Island School of Design and now serves on the board of the Drawing Center in New York City. A true New Yorker at heart, she is beyond energetic, super fast, smart and probably one of the funniest people I have ever met. After literally connecting with promessing artists, fancy gallery owners, auction houses, bankers, fashion designers, actors....you name it - Candace opened WORTH ART ADVISORY in 2001. Why? To bridge the gap between young art collectors and the art world establishment. A perfect combination and one which has proved to be very sucessful, according to Financial Times "Candace specialises in cutting out the intimidation factor". She knows both worlds like no one in town does: "us" who don't really know where to invest and moreover think its "too expensive and complex" to do so and the ART Universe people you should be connecting with. If you like contemporary Art but thought you couldn't set up your own art collection just yet, well think again, beacuse Candace will prove you wrong.
Needles to say Miss Worth is a CONNECT MEMBER and I have my Godmother to thank for having connected us two while I lived in NYC back in 2004! True not everybody can have a Godmother like I do....but for everything else you have CONNECT.
