CLIP OF THE DAY: Electric News

As if this city didn't have enough hapenning already these days....! This week in New York, nightlife King Nur Khan (a.k.a. Rose bar owner) just opened the doors to the Electric Room at the Dream Downtown Hotel just in time for Fashion Week, where rumor has it will host some of the week's hottest after-show parties. Yesterday over a catch up coffee at the Mercer Hotel lobby a friend of mine  (who got a little preview) told me Eletric has a sort of Cool British intimacy meets New York party scene vibe to it and no detail was left  aside from the Union Jack leather sofas to the Marilyn Minter artwork and glass mirrors custom-made by Brooklyn artist Chris Stain. By the looks of it The Electric Room will soon hit the likes of uptown sociallites, celebrities and the low-key downtown artist looking for good British music - electrifying - indeed. Can't wait to see that...

CLIP-IT: No website just yet, so make sure to write the address down: Electric Room at the Dream Downtown Hotel; 355 West Sixteenth Street at Ninth Avenue, New York.
