CLIP OF THE DAY: Silence is golden

Yesterday night I bumped into a friend of mine who just told me she is moving to Paris at the end of the month, she also let me know that she is an avid reader of Clip everyday....so evidently today I'm dedicating it to her! Only a few days ago, Paris got another indigo blue paper clip of mine for their new Parisian member's club Silencio - (I found out while reading an article at "The Guardian," a  tip by a quite bohemian French friend and an entire page featured on "Departure Info" page 141 of this month's Wallpaper magazine). Where to start....? Its not even open yet! (Sorry Clippers, we are all going to have to wait until September) but in the mean time acclaimed director and Silencio designer David Lynch makes sure that he keeps us all at the tip of our toes by giving some of its main features away. Created by Enia Architectes, Silencio, a private member's club will be paying tribute to the arts - with a house bar, restaurant, library and cinema screening independent films and a stage for private performances. Finally and as far as "silence" goes....well owner Arnaud Frisch is convinently enough also the man behind a record label and Social Club (a Parisian music venue) so that means DJ Olivier Pilz of Phunk selecting the music himself. Lights? Think Thierry Dreyfus. Not bad for this year's rentreé Rue Montmartre....Can't wait.
